Nelya hit the scene under the stage name Dj Pillow Princess back in 2018 where she was discovered for her unique taste of loud femme hip hop and dance throwbacks. Throughout her career, Nelya has always tried to keep her playlist full to the brim with new voices from marginalised communities focusing on women and queer people of colour. Now performing simply under the name NELYA, she has brought flavour to music festivals such as Laneway, Groove in the Moo and Supported Kira Piru and Milan Ring
